This Week's Counter: Fisher's Cafe & Pub

We were down in Peninsula a few weeks ago and stopped in for dinner at Fisher's -- a beautiful night on the patio.  On the way in, we realized they have a counter, and they're open for breakfast!  So late morning on a Saturday, we came back to give it a try.

We had the counter all to ourselves, even though the place was pretty busy.  It was close enough to lunch for Cam to get chicken, and Ted had coffee, eggs, bacon and potatoes.  Tami had come along with us this time too -- she went for a cheese omelet with bacon.  The food was generally OK, as was the service -- not overly attentive.  Best part was they had very nice coffee mugs with the Fisher's logo -- we ended up buying one to take home.

Very nice being down in the valley, but probably better to stick to lunch or dinner here.  But it could be the only place in the center of Peninsula that serves breakfast   We can take it or leave it.

Guest counterphile Tami says:  "Average food, average service.  I'd rather sit on the patio here.  I give this counter 6 frying pans."

Cam says: "Service could have been better, wasn't horrible. Food was a little above average. Overall it was a  6 frying pan counter."

Ted says: "A little disappointing, given the location and overall atmosphere. Average in every way, so 5 frying pans."
